in the past, chances are that it can be re-invented into something spectacular.

An item such as this clip earring below, can completely
inspire the design of a necklace. The pendant has transformed from the drop earring, into an art deco centerpiece
simply by removing the crystal drop and turning the piece upside down.

On my first commission which could have been thought of as a "dare", the client
came to me with a box of meaningful finds. Alot of broken bracelets, necklaces, a couple of rings that were loved at
one time but not worn any more, some pendants, some earrings, a couple of chains, various beads and even a button cover.
She gave me a brief history of some of the focal pieces she wanted incorporated, and an idea of what she wanted the
finished necklace to look like (a fringe design with the center fringe being approximately 4" in length and tapering out to
shorter fringe at the sides and back). Any or all of the the rest of the box of broken jewelry, she wanted used
as extra bulk in the necklace which ended up being quite heavy and quite loved and worn often. The finished piece is
the "Treasure Chest" shown above. I have been so proud of this necklace, that it has become my logo. I get
to look at it everyday, even if only in print, and smile.
